Meet Shervin Abachi Esq.
Empowering Artists Through Legal Expertise
With years of dedicated experience in U.S. immigration and entertainment law, Shervin Abachi is more than just an attorney—he's a passionate advocate for creative talents worldwide.
His practice focuses on navigating intricate employment-based visa petitions—particularly O, P, EB-1, and EB-2/NIW visas—for clients with extraordinary abilities in the arts and other creative industries.
Shervin’s experience extends beyond immigration to include contract negotiation, copyright, trademarks, employment issues, and strategic counsel for talent management and arts organizations in the U.S. and internationally.
At Abachi Law LLC, we proudly support the legal journeys of artists, performers, and creative professionals with focused, personalized representation.
Shervin’s engagement in the arts includes directing the FOLCS International Short Film Competition, which highlights human rights-focused independent films, and producing events for the Forum on Life, Culture, and Society (FOLCS) at venues like the 92nd Street Y, MoMA, and NYU School of Law. His collaborations span a range of prominent figures across film, literature, and public service, illustrating his deep connections within the cultural and artistic communities.
Professional & Refined, Modern & Concise
In talent-driven immigration and entertainment law
Our work extends to core entertainment matters including contract negotiation, IP protection, and industry compliance. Beyond talent visas, we are equipped to assist with a broad range of immigration needs. In addition, our Of Counsel attorneys advise on OFAC compliance, helping clients secure required licenses for transactions involving sanctioned countries and avoid the serious consequences of non-compliance.
Supporting Immigrant Artists with Employment Opportunities
Before founding Abachi Law, Shervin served as a Senior Associate Attorney at Sethi & Mazaheri, LLC, representing hundreds of clients and honing his expertise in complex immigration and entertainment matters.
His passion for empowering artists is reflected in his founding of an enterprise dedicated to supporting immigrant artists with employment opportunities and platforms for expression. He remains active in non-profit advocacy through his advisory role at the Artistic Freedom Initiative, aiding at-risk international artists, and through his board membership at Big Dance Theater, a New York-based cultural organization.
